Due to my longing to have a lodge on Easter Sunday, I thought i would offer it and see if this was appealing to others. I previously had scheduled this lodge for the 11th of April and that will remain the fall back date. Let me know if the change effects you adversely.
We will be rebuilding the lodge as soon as the ground thaws, so let me know if you want to help.

In honor of the Season of Spring, the time of Dawn and the Powers of the East. Illumination, Vision, New Beginnings, Rebirth.
Time
is a more mysterious dimension that mechanical models suggest. Time is
a flow of converging opportunities and a bringer of fateful events, the
chapters of our lives.
In the sacred ceremony of what is commonly called a sweat lodge, the time of each season of life and of our lives, is honored. It is a time to re-source and ask for help with what time this time is bringing; help to stay in balance within ourselves for the good of the whole as the forces of time and destiny shape us.
We look within and see what is catching us or holding us in suffering or resistance and we purify through our prayers, emotional releasing, and sweating to cleanse and purify us as we give every thing over to the powerful natural alchemy of Earth, Air, Fire and Water.
Heated
rocks are brought into a dome shaped enclosure and the entrance is
covered. It is dark and warm and you are sitting on the cool earth.
Water is poured on these heated stones and heat and steam fill the
enclosure. Prayers are said and songs are sung. The purpose is to
purify, in body, mind, heart and spirit, accomplished because of the
alchemical nature of the experience itself coupled with our
intentions.
It is a time to release what ever you are carrying that is no longer in service to you. It is a time to connect to source so we can recharge and renew ourselves It is time to move from Spring into Summer in this cycle of the Sun, we call 2009. It is time sink back into the stillness of Being, so we can proceed from our source.
Time: Any time Saturday to help build the lodge, Sunday 9-4 Including a pot luck community feast. This
is an Open House weekend and you are welcome to stay overnight here as
part of your retreat package. Relax and give yourself another day.

Cost: Donation - for those who can
afford it I ask for generosity. A recommended donation is $50-75. If you
can give more, you share the load for me to be available to those who
cannot afford this amount. It is an all day workshop and with an added day of preparation and clean up. Proceeds go into protecting and caring for
the land.

Wear comfortable cloths to be outside in the woods all day. Bring cloths to wear into the lodge that are loose fitting, but cover you. T-shirt and underwear is minimum. As a woman I like to wear a long skirt into the lodge. After the lodge you can change back into your woods cloths. You may want a towel or two. If you plan to camp here after the lodge, you can bring your own equipment or rent equipment here. You may want to bring extra cloths, and toiletries. You will also need to think about additional food depending on the length of your stay. You can also stay over in the retreat room, or salao.
We have a pot of beans and tea we serve after a lodge, please bring a little something to go with the bean soup. Bread, fruit, cheese, salad, apple cider, deserts, etc. You may also want to have a water bottle and some fruit to bring to the lodge area. It is good to eat lunch and then you will not eat a meal again until after the lodge.
